Velvet Ashes is a gothic rock project from Tokyo that blends the reverberations of post-punk with the depths of dark wave.
With cold synths, sharp guitars, and vocals shrouded in aestheticism and loneliness,
they blur the boundaries between reality and fiction.
Their soundscapes, where decadence and beauty coexist, quietly ignite a fire in the hearts of all living beings.
Their first album, "Velvet Ashes," will be released on November 28, 2024.

"MODE AUTOMATIC" is an industrial gothic rock band.
Formed in 2021 by composer KEI and London-based IWAI.
They are heavily influenced by the London punk movement that emerged in the late 1970s (SEX PISTOLS, CLASH, DAMNED),
and 1980s New Wave, post-punk, and industrial movements (P.I.L., BAUHAUS, Cure, Einstürzende Neubauten).

April 2023: Vocalist Sin-dy (ex-MARMALADE, etc.), who had previously been active in the punk scene, joined the band, forming the current form.
As a natural progression, the musical style of "Velvet Ashes" changed significantly from "MODE AUTOMATIC" before Sin-dy joined, and they decided to perform under a different name starting in September 2024.
March 2026: They plan to release their second album, "GHOST OF LOVE."
